How can Forky help?

Most issues fix themselves with a relaunch or a re-login. The rest is below. Still stuck? Scroll to the bottom and ping us — we read every message.

Quick fixes

App won't open or crashes on launch: force-quit, reopen. If still broken, uninstall and reinstall (your data is in the cloud, you won't lose anything).
Scan returns no ingredients: make sure the photo is well-lit, taken straight on, and the fridge door is fully open. Forky struggles with photos taken at an angle.
Voice coach doesn't speak: check your phone isn't on silent, then check Forky has microphone + speaker permission in your phone Settings.
Macros look wrong: tap the meal → Edit → adjust the portion or ingredients. Forky learns from corrections.
Subscription not active after paying: wait 60 seconds (Apple/Google receipts can lag), then pull-to-refresh on the Profile screen. If still stuck, message us with the receipt.

Is Forky free?

Yes, with daily quotas — 5 scans, 3 imports, 2 cook-along sessions. Pro is unlimited and unlocks the voice coach, photo recipe gen, and weekly meal plans.

Can I use Forky offline?

The app opens offline (you can see your logged meals and saved recipes), but scanning, voice coach, and recipe generation need the internet because they call our servers.

Does Forky work in French?

Yes — all UI, copy, and the voice coach are bilingual EN/FR. Set the language in Profile → Preferences.

Can I export my data?

Yes. Profile → Privacy → Export. You'll get a JSON file with all your meals, scans, and profile data within 24 hours.

How do I cancel?

On iOS: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Forky → Cancel. On Android: Play Store → Profile → Subscriptions. On web (Stripe): Profile → Manage Subscription. Trial cancellations take effect immediately if done before the trial ends.

What about my data and privacy?

See /privacy. Short version: we don't sell your data, we don't show ads, and we don't use your meals to train any other company's AI.

Can Forky replace a dietitian?

No. Forky is a tool — we surface calories, macros, and ideas. For medical conditions, eating-disorder recovery, or specific dietary needs, see a registered dietitian or doctor.

Status & known issues

Live state of every Forky service is at forkyai.com/status. We update it manually when an incident hits and reply to anyone whose issue is reflected there within an hour.
